Dr. Barton received his DVM from Kansas State University in 1981. While working on his Masters degree, Dr. Barton worked with Dr. Kolff at the Artificial Organs Department at the University of Utah. While they were both working as a calf-sitter, the very observant Dr. Kolff suggested to Dr. Barton that he look into veterinary medicine. Dr. Barton had a lifelong interest in medicine as well as a love of animals. With his never-ending awe of the unique human-animal bond that provides gifts to both, veterinary medicine seemed a perfect fit.
He has been married 33 years to his wife, Becky, and they have 7 children and 12 grandchildren. In addition, the family is completed with Russel, their 11-year old Welsh Corgi and Moicker, or “Mo”, their cat with the unusual hairstyle as a kitten, thus his unique name!
Dr. Barton is a current member in good standing for both the AVMA and the AAHA. Having the opportunity to work every day with people who love their pets deeply is reward enough for Dr. Barton. Helping pets live healthier and longer lives so as to have more time with their human companions, is a gift to everyone.

Dr. Gilbert E. Orme, DVM
Dr. Orme is a 1972 graduate of Colorado State University. His decision to become a veterinarian happened when he was a teenager in the small town of Tooele, UT. While there, a veterinarian came to town from Salt Lake City to operate on a horse. Dr. Orme was allowed to observe and after he saw what that vet was able to do, the decision was made and Dr. Orme knew that’s what he wanted to do, also.
Married for 40 years to his wife, Carol, they are the parents of 7 children and 13 grandchildren. Scarsdale, his 7-year old Australian shepherd, and Soxs, the quarter horse, round out the family.
A member in good standing with the AVMA and the Utah Veterinary Medicine Association, with whom he was a past President, Dr. Orme is assured of providing you and your pet the best and compassionate care.
