We can fix animals at as young as four months old, and there is no upper age limit. A pet is never too old to be fixed and can still benefit from this important surgery!

Spaying and neutering not only helps the pet overpopulation problem, but there are many other benefits as well. Fixing your pet may help curb behavioral problems, such as aggression and marking, as well as prevent medical problems, like certain cancers and pyometras (A serious, and often life-threatening, infection of the uterus).

The overall process is easy as well! What should you expect? You will be asked to fast your animal starting the night before surgery, no food, but a little bit of water is alright. Next you will meet with the operating doctor in the morning (overnight boarding is available as well if your schedule doesn't allow morning drop-off) and discuss your options and concerns. Your pet will then stay the day with us, and will undergo surgery sometime between 10am and noon. You may call around 2pm to see how the pet is doing and at that point we can give you an estimated go-home time, usually the same day!
