Becky
Becky has been a veterinary technician since 2000 and has been working at Sugar House Vet since 2001. She loves her cats, rabbits, and dog. She has been bringing her rabbits to Dr. Barton since about 1998. His expertise in rabbit medicine is what drew her to work at Sugar House Veterinary Hospital. She has also worked on a mobile spay and neuter clinic and also currently works part time at an animal emergency clinic. Becky has earned a bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Utah where she spent most of her time in the field of human anatomy. She loves working with animals and hopes to further her career in veterinary medicine.
Brandi
Brandi has lived in Utah her whole life. She started at Sugar House Vet in 2006 as a receptionist and shortly after became a veterinary technician. She has a big heart for animals and has 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a Gecko at home. Outside of work she loves to spend time with her husband and two kids. She also loves riding four wheelers at the sand dunes. Her best quality as a technician is the ability to comfort animals that need some extra love. Brandi has always dreamed of working in the field of veterinary medicine and is very fulfilled to be an employee at Sugar House Veterinary Hospital.

Holly
Holly has been working at Sugar House Veterinary Hospital since August of 2007. She is a student at Westminster College, majoring in Biology. Growing up on a farm has given Holly many opportunities to work with different animals, such as mules, horses, goats, cats, dogs, and birds. She worked as a technician at Wasatch Animal no 1 Hospital for 12 months. Last summer she spent 2 1/2 months volunteering at Animal Rehabilitation Centers in Ecuador. It was a great experience working with exotic animals. She is also working towards a Spanish minor, after falling in love with the Spanish language in South America. In her free time, Holly stays busy snowboarding, hiking, cooking and reading. Her favorite activity is soccer and she looks forward to her weekly indoor games. Holly is a passionate animal lover, enjoys her work environment, and is very excited to be a part of Sugar House Veterinary Hospital.
Heather
Heather was born and raised in Utah. She graduated from High School in 2005. She has one older sister and a pet guinea pig named "Ginny". Heather has danced for 11 years including 2 years on her High School dance team. She enjoys painting, traveling, concerts, and spending time with friends and family, and is a huge Utah Jazz fan. Deron Williams is her all time favorite player. Heather has always cared about animals and their well being and always wanted to be more involved in making a difference. She has worked for Sugar House Veterinary Hospital since August 2007 and has enjoyed getting to know the caring doctors and staff, as well as learning and expanding more in the Veterinary field. Her future plans include attending a major university and continuing her education in the medical field.
Julie
Julie has lived in the Sugar House area most of her life. She graduated from Highland High School and attended the University of Utah for 2 years. Julie has been employed with Sugar House Veterinary Hospital as a receptionist since 1988. She and her husband adopted two extremely cute cats from Animal Services in 2004: Max a black and white kitty with big ears, and Murphy a brown tabby with a very long tail. Julie and her husband enjoy going on trips, and have visited many beautiful, interesting places in all 50 states. Julie also enjoys playing games with friends, reading, cross-stitching and sushi.
Rick
Prior to signing on with the Sugar House team in June 2007, Rick has had over ten years of experience as a veterinary technician. He began his career at an emergency hospital in northern Virginia. While there he also had the opportunity to work at the National Zoo as an assistant keeper. Since moving to Utah in 1999 he has enjoyed the many wonderful outdoor experiences this state has to offer, and has worked in small animal medicine until coming to Sugar House. Currently Rick enjoys the company of four very unique cats and one very devoted hound mix. He attributes his happiness to his wife Sarah and daughter Haven as well as having such a rewarding career in the veterinary field.
Shannon
A Utah native, Shannon received her BS in biology with a chemistry minor from the University of Utah in the spring of 2006. She has been working as a veterinary receptionist / technician in local clinics since the summer of 2005 and plans to go on to veterinary school. Receiving an ACCESS scholarship at entrance to the University of Utah, Shannon is an accomplished scientist with research published in the Journal of Molecular Biology. In her spare time she dabbles in the world of costume design. You may have seen some of her work at the University of Utah’s Babcock Theatre, Studio 115, or the Utah Museum of Natural History.
Tracy
Tracy came to work at Sugar House Vet in 1991 as a receptionist. After seven years she became a veterinary technician. Tracy enjoys the challenges and rewards of working in a veterinary hospital, and is grateful to be working in a profession where she is instrumental in helping pets live longer, healthier, happy lives with their families. Tracy's husband Terry also has a great love for animals. They have been married since 1983 and live in Sugar House with their two miniature dachshund, Bella and Leeloo. They are also currently fostering another miniature dachshund named Tilly.
Carrie
Carrie was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska and came to Utah in the summer of 2005 so her husband could attend the University of Utah. She is currently working on getting a bachelors degree in Healthcare Business Management and has been working as a veterinary receptionist here at Sugar House Vet since January of 2008. She and her husband are the proud parents of three cats: Oreo, Bodhi, and Thamuzz (Muzzy). They both love animals and want to adopt a dog as soon as they can get their fence repaired!
