At the first consultation, we take an extensive history on your pet. We want to know how long the symptoms have existed, what has been previously tried, etc. Then we follow with an extensive physical examination of your pet in which we pay extra attention to the skin. Then we talk with you about the diagnosis or treatment plan with you.

Depending on the symptoms and we can suggest one or more of the following studies:

  • Bacteriological
  • Fungal Culture
  • Allergy testing through blood
  • Blood tests
  • Special diet
  • Microscopic evaluation

What are the chances of success?

Following our protocols, we are able in the vast majority of skin problems able to define a correct diagnosis. Only a correct diagnosis can lead to proper therapy.

How are you against the continuous use of prednisone?

In addition to the unwanted side effects of prednisone-like resources, we believe this is not always appropriate therapy. Prednisone reduced the complaints often but not the cause. Treatment of the root cause is our preferred strong preference.
